This workshop will provide attendees with an understanding of The Four Skills of Equity Literacy using the works of Paul Gorski. Each of the skills are designed to enable leaders to: recognize biases, respond appropriately to biases and have the facilitation skills to intervene, redress biases and inequities in the long term, and re-create schools so they reflect equitable environments. Participants will engage in a hands- on interactive workshop that will provide them the opportunity to reflect on their role as women in workplaces that can be filled with micro- aggression's, their own biases, and leave with tangible tools that will assist them on their journey as equity warriors.  Join us as we recognize our role, learn to respond, understand the concept of redress, and re-create traditional school structures into equitable school environments. This workshop will be facilitated by Mrs. Leslie Lockhart, Superintendent of Culver City Schools and Dr. Patricia Brent Sanco, Director of Equity, Access, and Instructional Services in Lynwood USD
